STUDENTS AGAINST DESTRUCTIVE DECISONS (SADD) 2016
SADD Club (Students Against Destructive Decisions) hosts an awareness week every Spring to educate High School students about choices they make in their lives. This year SADD week is April 18th-22nd, 2016. During each lunch period SADD members will be sharing information about Mental Illness, Toxic Relationships, Teen Pregnancy, Social Media and Distracted Driving (texting or drinking). Staff from ALLSTATE insurance will be present on April 21st, 2016 regarding Texting and Driving. All students who participate are entered into a raffle or prizes given out on April 22nd, 2016 during the lunch periods.
The S.T.O.P.P.E.D. Program
● SADD sponsored this program just prior to their Awareness Week. The program is aimed aimed at educating the young drivers directly through both lecture and innovative hands on activity as an effort to reducing the number of young drivers involved in motor vehicle crashes. The acronym stands for Sheriffs Telling Our Parents & Promoting Educated Drivers. The second preventive aspect of the S.T.O.P.P.E.D. program is an educational component aimed at teaching young drivers the consequences of driving while under the influence
