Riverhead high school graduatIon 2015
Check out the day through photos.
(June 27, 2015) Riverhead High School celebrated graduation at the newly refurbished McKillop Memorial Athletic Field under overcast skies with a slight breeze, which made the day almost perfect for sitting out in the sun for almost two hours. The class gift was a willow tree -- always a nice gift. Valedictorian Noah Markewitz gave a moving and motivating speech as did Student Government President Katie McKillop, whose speech

was read by Vice President Maria Dillingham because Katie was playing in a regional soccer game with her travel team. Senior Class President Mieko Vail and Salutatorian Emily Behr also gave laudable addresses. The morning was almost perfect -- except for the tossing of the hats, which was almost nonexistent. Perhaps, many of the grads were reluctant to toss them because many of them were beautifully decorated this year.
